This unit provides an opportunity to connect different strands of math and science. It also provides an opportunity for authentic discovery that involves wonderment, using prior knowledge, doing research, experimenting, and presenting one's discoveries.  After completion of this unit students will be able to follow their own wonderment by conducting online research, theorizing about relationships, designing experiments to test their theories, using math to analyze observations and support inferences, and presenting their learning in a scientifically valid manner.
