Activity One

Read the online article by Horace Seldon, A Moment in Abolition History.

Highlight the names of all people found in the article with the exception of Garrison. 

Decide, based on clues from your reading of the document, which position each individual would have taken if Garrison had been allowed to speak at Congress Hall. 

Create a Moment in Abolition History Word Table

1. Insert a three-column table with one row for headers.   
2. Header 1: Name, Header 2: Category, Header 3: Notes, reasons for placing the person in the category.
