Discussion: What are some roles that your mom, aunt, sister, etc. have?

List 5 responsibilities and compare to the classmate next to you. Discuss with teachers and students together. 

Students read about the 19th Amendment and an introduction piece about how women have struggled for equal rights for almost 50 years beforehand. P. 177-8 History of Our Nation Textbook.

Discussion: What can you infer about some limitations women had prior to the passage of the Amendment?
