Task

In order to understand the background and motivations for the first national women’s rights convention, you will examine a variety of primary and secondary source documents and images.  For each item, you will list or discuss information gained about the social and political context in which the convention occurred.  Additionally, you will examine the exact elements of the convention and its proposed effects.  You will debate the reasons for and against supporting the convention’s Declaration of Sentiments.  The examination of this historic turning point will conclude with an investigation of the path of women’s rights movements in another country.  You will present your findings and a compare/contrast analysis in a multi-media presentation of your choice.
