Conclusion

The 1783 Massachusetts ruling was a very important document that affected the lives of African Americans in Massachusetts. In the years 1774 – 1782, slavery was a common practice in Massachusetts.  After the 1783 ruling, more people started to see the inhumanity of slavery.
